Despite being pulled back to 2-2 during this game by Loughside, the Ards team held their nerve to grab a third goal and win this league encounter 3-2.

Marcus Gilmore had given Ards an early lead by scoring with a free kick from just outside the 18 yard box andthen Steven Ogborn scored the second goal after a through ball from Jordan Mills.

Ogborn then nearly scored twice more but both chances just skimmed the post. Loughside pulled a goal back five minutes into the second half and then scored another five minutes later to make it 2-2.

Ross Johnston had a 20 yard effort skim the crossbar and Jonny McMorran saw his shot saved by their keeper. Loughside exerted a physical presence as the game wore on but they could do nothing as Marcus Gilmore scored his second to give Ards the win.

This coming Saturday the Under 18s are playing Bryansburn Rangers at Valentines, kick-off 9.30am
