It's Kerr's night at club awards

Goalkeeper Aaron Kerr was the big winner at the club's 2010/11 awards presentations as he picked up three prizes, including the coveted PASC Player of the Year trophy.

Kerr, who has departed for Premiership football with Ballymena United next season, was also selected by his fellow players in the Ards dressing room as the Players' Player of the Year. Aaron completed his hat-trick of awards by being named Player of the Year by the board of directors.

Club chairman Brian Adams compered the awards and he commented on the impact of youth on this year's Ards team during what many would consider a season of transition. The choice of the Young Payer of the Year was a popular one with Rab Young collecting that trophy after overcoming an early season injury to cement a regular place in the side.

Paul McKnight collects the Goal of the
Season trophy from Andrew McCullough

This season's top-goal-scorer Darren Fitzgerald was not present to collect his prize, for what would have been a third year running. However assistant manager Paul McKnight was another to be celebrated for goal-scoring - he was the popular choice to win the ardsfc.co.uk Goal of the Season.

The Red & Blue Supporters group continue to present their award and this year chose vice-captain Gary Spence, who enjoyed a terrific run of form through-out the season.
