Players from Ards Youth put on a mini-soccer display during half-time of Ards' first home game of the season on Saturday.

The players involved, from the under 14 squad, put on a fine piece of interval entertainment for the crowd of Ards fans, many seeing for the first time what is hoped to be the future of Ards Football Club.

The players were turned out in the traditional Ards red and blue, marking the official tie up between Ards and the long established local youth club.

The new partnership brings several hundred new players under the Ards banner, although allowing Ards Youth to continue looking after their own affairs and remaining self-sufficient. It also qualifies all the current Ards Youth under 16 players for action in the IFA Youth League with Ards Colts.
