The prolific scorer agreed to join from Lisburn Distillery, having trained with Ards for the past number of weeks. 34 year-old Armour is best know for his days with Distillery in the early 2000s, when he helped the club to a series of top half finishes in the Premier League.
The player then moved to Glentoran, where he continued his scoring form, before returning to Distillery. He played a small number of games under new White boss Jimmy Brown at the start of this season, including both legs of their ill-fated Europa League qualifying tie against Zestafoni.
It is hoped that Darren can be registered in time to face Coagh United in Tuesday's Championship game.
