Arthurs up for sponsor's award
The Ards striker is nominated along with four other players, selected by the Belfast Telegraph as the top performers during December. Ross is described in their bio as: "Ross Arthurs might not be a 30-goal-a-season striker, but his hard work and endeavour make him a handful for any centre back. Arthurs put in a good shift against Larne, whilst playing a key role in Ards' New Year's Eve victory over their local rivals Bangor. Against Tobermore United the former Crusaders forward scored twice in a 4-1 win." The other players nominated are Chris Curran of Ballinamallard United, ex-Ards striker Stephen Doyle, now at Loughgall, Warrenpoint Town's Keith Johnston and Corey Wilson of Institute. Voting is open until 19th on the Belfast Telegraph website with the winner announced in The Park supplement on 23rd January. 10th January 2012
