Ards attained the signature of Johnny Cleary following yesterday's match with Dundela, with the former Bangor man training with the players before the game.
Cleary has been turning out with Amateur League side Rosario this season and has scored several goals for them. He can play mostly on the left side, either at the back or in midfield and is still in his early twenties.
He had a season and a half at Bangor from 2004 to late 2005 and should begin to feature in the Ards side from next Saturday. He is however cup-tied for Tuesday's replay against Dundela.
