Up until this game Cliftonville were the only side to have inflicted defeat on Ards Colts this season, and by 3.45 they had done it again.

With both sides looking like being title challengers come the end of the season, this would a crucial game to claim a win for either team. Cliftonville went in front early on, only for Thomas Gorman to equalise for Ards.

The game was then decided in a five minute period, when whatever could go wrong, did go wrong for Lee Forsythe's side. Cliftonville struck four goals in quick succession to leave the Ards side stunned and then added a sixth strike later on.
