Carnegie Youth League: Larne Under 18s 0-2 Ards Colts
11th April 2008

An experimental Ards Colts side, with five changes from that of the cup semi-final team, cruised to victory against Larne on Friday night.

Gary Sharratt opened the scoring after ten minutes at Inver Park when he beat the offside trap to slot through the keeper's legs. Ards maintained constant pressure and chances went astray for Newberry, Gorman and O'Neill.

Early in the second half Ards doubled their lead, when Thomas Gorman struck nicely into the bottom right corner from the edge of the 18.

With the result secured, Ards introduced Tony Tumelty and he was twice denied by top class saves from the young Larne keeper at point blank range.

Next Saturday the Colts travel to Limavady in their penultimate league game, kicking off at 2.00
