With just two weeks to go until the first competitive game, the Ards Colts continued their practice schedule against Amateur 1B side Groomsport on Saturday.

The side fell behind in the first half to a goal very much against the run of play and that was how the scoreline stayed until Thomas Gorman equalised with a predator's strike early in the second.

Kerri Grant then screamed in a second goal to put Ards ahead but Groomsport battled strongly back to find an equaliser. Ards came very close to scoring a winner late on but were out of luck and had to settle for a draw.
