Two second half goals did the business for Ards Colts on Wednesday evening as they defeated last season's Youth League runners-up Glentoran.

The game at Londonderry Park was scoreless at half time, with Glentoran just about edging the match on chances around goal.

A strike from Gary Sharratt then put Ards ahead, finishing well from a corner before Tony Tumelty sold his defender a dummy to score the second. Glentoran pulled a consolation goal back in the last few minutes but it was Ards who take a final pre-season win into their first competitive game this Saturday.
