Club Receives Premier Donation

The club were pleased to receive a donation this week from the Premier Ards Supporters' Club in respect of the recent sponsored walk undertaken by a dedicated band of fans.

The supporters' club arranged the walk in conjunction with the directors and the Ards Youth set-up on the day of the Premier League game with Armagh at the end of October. The 5 mile route was completed in just over an hour and twenty minutes, although you may recall how team manager George Neill ran the course in some 43 minutes.

George was well supported by his players money wise and there were also a number of other excellent individual efforts. That meant a sum of money to boost the supporters' coffers, an amount for Ards Youth and also this week, the presentation of £650 to the football club.

The directors wish to extend their thanks to the walkers for the gesture adding that they delighted and appreciative of the efforts.
