Fun Day coming this Saturday
6th May 2008

The Ards end of season Fun Day and Club Awards takes place this Saturday with every supporter being asked to get involved in one of the many activities.

The day's event are being kindly sponsored by Ards supporter Warren Patton, who runs Patton's Bakery on Lansdowne Road.

The day's fun is set to being at 12 noon in Londonderry Park with a penalty kick competition against Ards goalkeeper Andy McDonald. Supporters are being asked to collect sponsorship in order to take part in this and get the chance to hit three penalties at club captain Andy. This one is open to the boys and girls, of all ages and sponsorship forms can be downloaded here or are available from the Ards Sports Club.

Following straight after be will the Supporters vs Players challenge match. This was well received by all participants last year, including team manager Tommy Kincaid, who is set to don the boots once again. The cost for supporters to play in this is £5 and anyone interested in joining the fans team should speak to Andrew McCullough. The game should begin around 12.30 with players asked to meet at the changing rooms from 11.30am. Full kit will be provided, with players obviously asked to bring their own boots and shinguards.

Next the focus switches to the social club when an Afternoon at the Races will take place. This event is always provides an enjoyable day and has been made possible by the kind backing of all the race sponsors and horse sponsors. First race is at 3pm and food will provided prior to the races starting.

Finally at 6pm the evening will end with the 2007/08 Club Awards when supporters clubs will name their Players of the Year.

Ards Football Club would like to thank our supporters for their loyalty, generosity and support throughout this season and we hope that as many supporters as possible join with us to help make the Fun Day the success it should be.

Finally, in order to assist organisers, we would appreciate if all monies could be handed over on the day.
