Joe
expands attacking options
Ards have made striker Joe Finlay the first signing of the January transfer window, with manager Niall Currie agreeing terms with the player on Tuesday. Joe joins Ards from Glenavon, where he was highly thought of but just hadn't been able to claim a regular first team spot. He had been part of the senior squad this season and scored twice from two starts. The 21 year-old graduated from youth football at Mourneview Park to become a star of the Glenavon Reserve team. Already this season, Joe has scored 27 times for the reserves, on top of the 37 goals he hit last term. He has signed with Ards until the end of the season. 3rd January 2012
