Ards appear to have made an excellent signing in 19 year-old Gary Spence. The former Distillery youth player spent last season with HW Welders and came over to Ards this summer. He shone through in pre-season, looking comfortable and very capable in the centre of defence and is the only ever-present in the Ards side.
