It's
Reds again in cup
Ards
will face Cliftonville in the next round of the JJB
Sports Irish Cup, with the match to be played at
Solitude next month.
Wednesday
morning's 5th round draw paired the teams together for
the second time this season, and again at the same
venue where Cliftonville knocked Ards out of the
IRN-BRU League Cup in September.
All
12 sides from the Carling Premiership were entered in
the draw, along with the 20 sides to have come through
round four on Saturday. Games will be played on
Saturday 14th January, with replays coming into effect
for the first time.
Since
Ards and Cliftonville last met, Niall Currie has
replaced Justin McBride as Ards manager, while
Cliftonville last month lifted the County Antrim
Shield.
