Former Ards defender Jay Magee will turn out for Glenavon next season, after the 19 year-old signed up with the Mourneview Park side last week.

Magee was a signing for former Ards boss George Neill and played 45 games for the club between January 2006 and the end of last season.

It had been hoped the prospect might return to the club and current manager Tommy Kincaid had kept in touch with the player. He was the winner of the Ards director's Player of the Year trophy last season.

Glenavon manager Terry Cochrane has also reached agreement to bring former Ards midfielder Aidan Watson to Glenavon next year from Ballymena.
