McDonald appeal successful

Andy McDonald was successful in his appeal on Monday against a two match suspension arising out of October's Steel & Sons Cup match against Malachians.

The Ards goalkeeper had submitted an appeal against the suspension two weeks ago and successfully argued self-defence on Monday evening over the incident, which also involved a Malachians official.

McDonald will thus be free to play in Ards' next game, while back-up is now also available should it be required with the return from loan of Lee Rutherford.
