Bangor FC have made an official request to Ards for permission to speak to club captain Aaron McKee.

The request came in the past few days and was discussed among board members as well as being passed on to manager Tommy Kincaid.

No formal offer was ever made by Bangor and Aaron indicated to his manager that he had no interest in leaving the club. The club's board also expressed no interest in the approach.

Aaron remains contracted to Ards until the end of the season.
