Walkers complete Bangor trek

A week ago, over two dozen supporters set out to complete the five mile walk from Newtownards to Bangor to raise much needed funds for Ards FC.

The club's Special Efforts Committee were delighted with the response they received for the revived Sponsored Walk to Clandeboye Park and the success of the day has again channeled important funds towards the football club.

A fine day's weather ensured a pleasant stroll for the participants, who were able to relax and enjoy refreshments at the finish line, prior to taking in an Ards win over Bangor in the day's Championship 1 game.

The SEC would now like to appeal to any walker who has not yet returned all of their sponsorship money to do so as soon as possible. Money can be given to Sarah Atcheson at any of the upcoming Ards games or to any member of the SEC over the next few days.
