Message from San Marino

The Bring Ards FC Home message reached into Europe this week, with our campaign banner on show on San Marino.

The Bring Ards FC Home banner took a short holiday during the week from its regular position on show at the Ards Sports Club to take in Northern Ireland's World Cup qualifier in San Marino.

Suitably accompanied by Ards supporter Drew Burgess, the banner was on display in the stadium throughout Northern Ireland's 3-0 win over the football minnows. The eagle-eyed might also have spotted the banner during BBC Two's live coverage of the match.

The Bring Ards Home campaign continues to attract support in the press. Further letters of backing appeared in this week's edition of the Chronicle, while local Councillor and MLA Kieran McCarthy appeared in a photo to confirm his support of the campaign to some Ards supporters.

The next meeting of the campaign, which is open to all Ards supporters, will be held in the Sports Club on Tuesday at 8.00pm.
