We asked you to choose your top player of the 2006/07 season to be named ardsfc.co.uk Player of the Year and the vote couldn't have been tighter.

A dead heat in fact was the outcome with fans unable to separate Ian Mannus and Aaron McKee and so for the first time the website's Player of the Year award is shared.

Both players polled 37% of the vote with Jay Magee finishing in third place on 18%. Aaron was named Player of the Year by both the Premier and Red & Blue supporters' clubs just over a week ago and was considered by many to be the lynchpin in the Ards side.

Goalkeeper Ian played in all but one game this season during a year long loan from Glentoran. He was the choice of the Ards players as their top performer, winning the coveted Players' Player of the Year trophy.

Website and forum users also took their hat off to midfielder Ryan Tumelty and awarded him the Goal of the Season trophy for his memorable strike against Bangor on Boxing Day. Ryan polled an impressive 96% of the vote.
