Ards
wait on McKee fitness
14th March 2008
Part one of the
double-header against Dundela takes place at Clandeboye Park on Saturday
as Ards vie to get back to winning league ways following last week's
disappointing defeat to Lurgan Celtic.
Manager Mark Snodden
brings his Duns team to Bangor on Saturday ahead of next Wednesday
night's second meeting, when the sides will clash in the semi-final of
the WKD Intermediate Cup. This season's previous meeting between the
teams ended two-all at Wilgar Park in November, when Ards' Darren
Stirling scored and was sent off.
Stirling limped out of
last week's game against Lurgan after only 25 minutes and he is one of
several players that Ards are hoping will be fit enough to return this
weekend. The signs are good for most on that list, including James
Wilson while Gary Spence did train on Thursday night, despite suffering
from flu in the earlier part of the week.

A doubt remains over the
fitness of midfielder Aaron McKee, who pulled out of the last match
before kick-off with a toe injury. Depending on who is available new
signing Chris Deegan could be in line for a start, having just made the
signing deadline on Friday lunchtime.
And with both Ricky
Billing and Gareth Wash coming through their run-outs last week with no
ill effects, Tommy Kincaid will have the largest squad to choose from
for some time, only Johnny Cleary remaining injured.
Dundela could move third
in the league if they win, while the teams just above Ards in the table,
Coagh United and HW Welders, play each other at Hagan Park.
The Ards supporters bus
will leave the social club in Regent Street at 2.00pm, with kick-off at
Clandeboye set for 2.30pm.
