Prior to 1977/78 Ards
Seconds competed in the Irish League 'B' Division with
Intermediate clubs and other Irish League reserve sides, often
in north & south sections. This was re-organised in 1977/78, with Ards Seconds
playing in Section II. This was split into North & South Sections in
2000/01, was reformed into one section in 2001/02 and split
again regionally for 2002/03. It returned to a single division
in 2003/04.
Records are not
available prior to 1973-74 and between 1989/90 - 1990/91
*Ards deducted 3 points
#Ards withdrew from the league after 14 games
