Darren and Kris re-sign

Darren Fitzgerald and Kris Pike will return in Ards colours again next season, with both having signed new two year contracts.

Kris Pike is the longest serving player in the Ards squad, coming to the end of his fifth season at the club.

The ever-reliable left back has shown terrific form this season, having put previous injury problems behind him and has played in every match this term.

Darren Fitzgerald is rewarded for being the club's top goal-scorer with a new two year deal. The former Glentoran and Rangers player has so far hit 23 goals in his first season back at Ards.

Midfielder Jimmy McIlhagga has also agreed to stay on, he too signing up for two years. McIlhagga was a signing from HW Welders last summer and his experience in the middle of the park has been invaluable at times this season.
