Ards confirm Dickson to stay on

Tommy Kincaid moved closer to resigning his full squad by tying up midfielder Paul Dickson with a new contact.

Dickson has been an integral part of the Ards side this season, since making the move from HW Welders in the summer. His workman-like performances in the middle of the park, and more recently on the right side have been key to the side's success this season.

Fans will be delighted therefore with the news that he too has agreed to stay for another two years.

Paul Dickson Lee Rutherford Stuart Long

Lee Rutherford is another who will be retained by the club. The reserve goalkeeper was called upon three times this season to deputise for regular keeper Andy McDonald and he will continue to do so again next year, while also acting as McDonald's coach.

Finally Stuart Long will be given another opportunity to prove his fitness next season. The Ards local spent much of this season requiring treatment, before being sent on loan to Brantwood. There, injury befell him once again, but he'll return for pre-season after signing up again.
