Strike duo sign on again

Ards are pleased to announce that strikers Darren Fitzgerald and Darren Armour have agreed to remain with the club next season.

Both players made new agreements with manager Tommy Kincaid in the last few days to extend their time with Ards.

Darren Fitzgerald finished the season as Ards' top goal-scorer with 26 strikes, a tally that also earned him the top scorer's title in Championship 1. He'll extend his current run with Ards to three seasons by staying on into 2010/11.

Darren Armour arrived at Ards in January this year and has made quite an impact in the short time since then. Eight goals in just fourteen starts from Armour, including a debut hat-trick, helped Ards to a number of victories and also consolidated the club's fourth place finish.

The former Distillery and Glentoran player, now 34, has agreed to sign on again for one more season.
