Spence
and Nixon to remain
Ards
manager Tommy Kincaid has retained the defensive
pairing of Gary Spence and Darren Nixon for next
season.
For
Spence, it will mean extending his Ards career into a
fourth season since his signing from HW Welders in
2007. The central defender passed the 100 game mark
for Ards in the season just gone by, despite a number
of periods out with injury.

Home
favourite Darren Nixon will too make it four years
since he returned to Ards by staying on next season.
The 28 year-old began his career at Ards as a teenager
before embarking on spells with Carrick Rangers and
Dundela.
He
returned to the club in the summer of 2007 and has
been a solid performer in the team since. He was the
Premier Ards S.C. Player of the Year in 07/08.

James
Wright is another who is staying on, having just
completed his second season with the club. Signed from
Amateur League football in 2008, James quickly
established himself in the Ards side and has scored a
number of memorable goals.
The
ball-playing midfielder was involved in training
sessions with the junior international team in the
latter stages of this season.
