Johnny Shaw has informed Ards manager Tommy Kincaid that he wishes to take some time away from the game at the moment.

The 28 year-old former Linfield and Crusaders player has made only scattered appearances for the first team this season and most recently was absent following his own wedding.

The popular player has now indicated to the Ards boss that he wishes to take a break from playing and the club have granted this request.
