Ards FC Sports Club's application for a social club licence was granted in Downpatrick Court on Thursday morning.

With all necessary paperwork in order, the application was passed without any further inquiries during a short hearing.

The club committee will now meet shortly to arrange the setting up of membership and other issues, including opening hours.

The club is based in first floor premises in Regent Street, above Xtra-Vision.

The club would to put on record our thanks to our solicitor, barrister and architect, without all of whom the application would not have succeeded.
