Sammy came to Ards during last year's pre-season and impressed enough in a number of warm-up games to earn a contract. The former Donard Hospital player rode full-blooded into more than a few challenges during his first season in the Championship, while also looking likely to provide a supporting role for the Ards attack. He spent four years with Donard, winning their player of the year award and also turning his hand to goal-scorer too - he was their top marksman two seasons ago.
