Top scorer out with shoulder injury
31st December 2007

Darren Stirling missed out last Saturday's game against Carrick Rangers having suffered a dislocated shoulder.

The top goal-scorer was involved in a minor fall that unfortunately triggered this old injury. Darren has suffered the effects of this injury on a couple of occasions in the past number of years and indeed missed several games because of it while with Crusaders.

A couple of weeks rest is the only course of action meaning Darren will miss the Intermediate Cup trip to Magherafelt Sky Blues this coming Saturday and it'll be a case of wait and see as regards the following week's game against Brantwood in the Irish Cup.

Darren Stirling Ricky Billing

With Ards quite short of attacking options at the moment, there's still no good news concerning Ricky Billing's injury. A couple of x-rays haven't revealed the source of his injury, that causes him a fair bit of pain during physical work, and so he remains out indefinitely.
