Apology
To Fans For Bus Delay
25th
October 2006
The Premier Ards Supporters' Club would like to pass on their apologies to those supporters who were inconvenienced by last Saturday's transport problems.
A statement from the supporters' club reads; "The non-arrival of the bus at Clandeboye Park following the match last Saturday inconvenienced a lot of people, and for that we apologise. The club were not made aware of any problems relating to the return bus and hence were very much at the mercy of the bus company. In light of two other incidents concerning buses already this season, this has caused us to consider making alternative arrangements.
"The club committee would like to thank those directors who put themselves out last Saturday in order to ensure our stranded supporters got home as quickly as possible.
"We very much appreciate the support given to the club each and every week by the dedicated and regular users of the bus. To that end the club are waiving the bus fare for those supporters inconvenienced last weekend for this Saturday's match at home to Banbridge.
"We hope that the regular users will not be put off by this unfortunate event and we would advise you that serious assurances have been given to us by Belfast Bus Company that such a situation will not happen again."
