Towell
will embark on his second spell with Ards after
impressing bosses Tommy Kincaid and Justin McBride
while playing for HW Welders last season. Chris had
been a signing for former Ards manager George Neill in
the club's last season in the Premier League.
He
played 13 games at the start of the 2005/06 season
before moving on to play for first, PSNI and latterly
The Welders. The 28 year-old still has speed on his
side and is known to be deployed on the right flank or
straight through the middle.
Further
boosting Ards' attacking options, Stephen Doyle has
agreed to remain for another season. The young
striker, who signed last summer from Dungannon Swifts
scored five goals in 29 matches as he was used
sparingly by manager Tommy Kincaid.

returning however is fellow striker Thomas Gorman. His
three years involvement with the Ards first team has
come to an end with a release for the 21 year-old. The
former Ards Youth player made 55 appearance for Ards,
returning nine goals following his promotion from a
cup-winning under 18 team. It is not yet known where
he will move on to.
