The efforts of Ards supporters during last month's sponsored walk to Bangor have resulted in a donation of over one thousand pounds being given to the club.

The fourth year of the event eclipsed last season's total by some distance by bringing in £1036, which will go toward the weekly running cost of the football club.

Ards treasurer Jim Bailie, who received the money this week, said the board were once again impressed by supporters' efforts. "This is a tremendous amount to have been raised by our loyal supporters, who constantly assist our efforts to keep the club operating, especially during this time of low income."
