Young released by manager
Defender Rab Young has been released by Niall Currie, bringing to an end his year and half spell with the club.
The manager came to the decision to release the player as he made his plans for next season. Rab had made it known in recent weeks that it was his intention to spend a year abroad in the near future. Young was regular in the side at the beginning of the season before picking up an injury, but after Currie's arrival as manager in October, the right-back has only started three games. He was a summer signing from Grove United in 2010 and during his short Ards career played under three different managers. Rab played 30 times and scored two goals. 28th January 2011
