A recent visit by Ards F.C and Ards Academy led to the creation of a new partnership between the clubs.

The Football League club will work with Ards F.C and Ards F.C Academy to provide player pathways for our club's most talented young players.

The partnership will see Morecambe stage talent identification camps in Newtownards, in conjunction with Ards F.C Academy. The League One club will also share their knowledge and experience with our coaching staff.

Jeremy Bell the Academy secretary said "Another step forward in a very exciting time for Ards F.C and their Academy".

It will provide a pathway into the English game for the club's best young players and allow our Academy to benefit from Morecambe's vast experience. This is an exciting project and we're looking forward to working closely with Morecambe F.C ".

Well done Warren. This is an excellent initiative and will inspire young players as well as provide the club with access to fresh expertise and a stepping stone to our own future.
