ARDS SIGN CONALL YOUNG

Ards moved quickly to replace the unexpected loss of Scott McMillan by signing Conall Young from Warrenpoint Town just before the transfer window closed. Conall, whose preferred position is right back, will be 21 later this month and was with Glenavon for a couple of years at the start of his career, winning the Harry Cavan Youth Cup and making his debut for the first team against Newry in September 2016 as a 17 year old. In August 2017 he spent a season on loan to Knockbreda. He then joined Warrenpoint and made over 20 appearances for them, including two games against Ards at the end of last season. He scored one goal for Warrenpoint, against the Welders in a League Cup match last August. Conall also has experience with the Northern Ireland Under 18 team and the County Down squad in the Milk Cup competition. Welcome to Ards Conall!
