Bailie departs

JOHN BAILIE DEPARTS Ards Football Club and John Bailie have parted company following today’s 2-1 defeat at Queen’s University. Former Ards player, captain and coach Bailie was appointed manager in December 2019. Ards chairman Warren Patton said: “I’m very grateful to John for the tremendous effort he has put in over the last three seasons. John and I enjoyed a tremendous working relationship and it’s sad that we’ve had to part company. “John will remain a legend and a popular figure at Ards. I wish him well for the future.”

As the club lays out its future ambitions they have to invest in building a more consistent team; nurture and attract new players and develop the infrastructure that will pave the way for returning to the top league and staying there.
