On the final day of the transfer window Ards added to their squad a couple of highly rated young prospects.

Arriving from Linfield is Ethan Wynne, born on 21st February 2001, Ethan is an 18 year old central midfielder. Ethan is well thought of at Windsor Park and was part of the Under 18 N.I. Schools team that won the Centenary Shield in April this year, as well as winning the Youth Cup with Linfield when he scored one of the goals in a 2-0 win over Cliftonville last season.

Ben Cushnie arrives on a season long loan from Glentoran. Ben turned 18 last month and signed professional terms at the Oval when he was given a first team squad number for the current season. He has been with Glentoran since he was 11 years old and has represented Northern Ireland up to Under 18 Schoolboy level. He played in the County Down squad that contested the Super Cup NI final last year and has had trials with Blackburn Rovers. With a number of experienced strikers at the Oval, Glentoran Head Coach Mick McDermott sees this as a chance for Ben to get more regular first team football in a competitive environment.

Good luck to both lads, hopefully your time in Red and Blue will be memorable!
