Glentoran Match Preview.

Glentoran vs Ards.

The Oval.

Saturday 27th October @ 3.00 p.m.

Ards will prefer to look back on last Saturday's victory over the blue half of Belfast's traditional Big Two, than Tuesday night's defeat at Inver Park. If they were looking back a bit further they would see that they had two wins at the Oval last season and maybe that will inspire the team to go out and win there for a third consecutive time.

The Glens also bowed out of the County Antrim Shield on Tuesday, losing to Linfield in extra time, but they had a much changed team, with suspensions, injury and illness robbing them of five players. The bad news for Ards is that most, if not all of those five will be available on Saturday. Birney and Garrett return from suspension and Pepper, McDaid and McGuigan should be fit enough for consideration.

Ards will be glad that Johnny Frazer had a run against Larne and will be pushing for a starting place. Johnny Taylor may miss out, having gone off injured on Tuesday, but David Elebert comes back after not being involved against Larne. The rest of the squad will be along the usual lines.

The PASC are running a bus, leaving the Social Club/Gibson's Lane at 2.15 p.m. As always Ards fans are encouraged to get the bus and thereby support the club and the PASC!
