Ards fans will be delighted with the return of Paul Kee to the club as goalkeeping coach. He made his debut between the sticks for Ards in the 1987/88 season, his potential was quickly spotted and at the end of that season he was transferred to Oxford United, then in Division Two. Paul played over 50 games for Oxford and also had spells on loan with other clubs, including Ards.
Paul was capped at all age levels for Northern Ireland and also won nine full caps for his country, the last two of those coming following his return to Ards in 1994, making him the last player to win a full International cap while playing for Ards.
Paul played for a number of clubs after leaving Ards again in 1998, probably the most interesting being a spell at Cobh Ramblers in the League of Ireland where he replaced Nicky Byrne who went on to find fame with Westlife.
After retiring from playing Paul was goalkeeping coach with several clubs including Glentoran and Bangor, he also had a previous spell as coach at Ards in 2010/11.
Welcome back to Ards Paul!
