Match Day 11. Ards vs QUBFC.

Ards vs QUBFC.

Bluefin Sport Championship.

Bangor Fuels Arena.

Saturday October 5th at 3.00 p.m.

Although unbeaten in their last four games, two consecutive draws mean that four points have been dropped and Ards need a win to at least keep pace with Portadown who now top the table with a 10 point lead over the Red and Blues.

Following promotion last season Queens started their Championship season well with three wins in the first five games, but they haven't picked up a single point since and have lost their last five league games, as well as that 5-0 defeat to Ards in the County Antrim Shield. During those six defeats only three goals have been scored, while 20 have been conceded, in fact in the league only Ballyclare and PSNI have conceded more than Queens. In contrast only two two teams have conceded fewer than Ards, the main problem for the home side at the moment is at the other end of the pitch, with just 13 goals scored in ten league games, only the Welders and Knockbreda have scored less, so don't expect a high scoring game!

Ards fans will be hoping that David McAllister is fit to return, although this may be a week too soon for him. Johnny Taylor definitely misses out as he is he serves the second of his three match suspension, but Dylan Wilson should be available after missing last week's 1-1 draw with Dundela. The Queens squad features Jonah Mitchell, Matthew Torrens and Marc McKenna who will all be familiar to Ards fans.
