CLIFTONVILLE vs ARDS

DANSKE BANK PREMIERSHIP

SOLITUDE

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 29th at 3pm

SUPPORTERS BUS: 2pm

Ards travel to Cliftonville with a weakened squad, Gareth Tommons is the latest to join the injured list, giving manager Colin Nixon something of a headache in team selection.

Recent history between the two clubs shows that while Ards have put in some good performances the Reds usually prevail and take the points. Barry Gray's side have been inconsistent this season and although they have won their last two home games, they are currently sitting in sixth place, eight points behind leaders Glenavon. Joe Gormley will be the main threat to a solid Ards defence, but Chris Curran and Jay Donnelly are among a few who know where the nets are.

Ards on the other hand are finding goals hard to come by and haven't scored in the League since beating Newry City 4-0 in late August, a run of four games that has seen them only lose once and take three points from goalless draws thanks to good defensive work by the team as a unit. Whatever the starting line up on Saturday, hopefully the evident team spirit will bring a positive result.

The PASC are providing a bus for fans wishing to travel to the game, leaving Gibson's Lane/Social Club at 2.00 p.m.
