Match Preview : Dungannon Swifts [h]

Updated: Apr 23, 2019

Ards vs Dungannon Swifts.

D.B.P.

Bangor Fuels Arena.

Tuesday April 23rd at 7.45 p.m.

Ards will be looking to get back-to-back league wins for the first time this season when they take on Dungannon on Easter Tuesday. Spirits should be high following the away win at Institute thanks to an impressive team performance and Michael McLellan's goal of the season contender which clinched a vital three points for the Red and Blues.

The three previous games against Dungannon this season are in favour of Ards with two draws followed up by the 3-0 win at Stangmore Park in the last game of 2018. Dungannon can be inconsistent as is shown by results in 2019, following that 3-0 defeat by Ards they went on a run of nine games with only one defeat. However since that they have only achieved two wins in their last eight games. Ards will be hoping that they wait until their last match of the season at Newry before they rediscover the winning formula!

The team that won at the Brandywell will have to be changed as Michael Kerr and Kyle Cherry picked up bookings that will rule them out on Tuesday, indeed Cherry will also miss the game away to Warrenpoint on Saturday as he collected his tenth yellow of the season at Institute and earned himself a two game ban. On the plus side Johnny Taylor is available after his suspension. David McAllister will be a doubt after injury forced him to miss Saturday's win.

Hopefully there will be a big holiday crowd to cheer the side on as they continue their fight to retain their Premier League status.
