Match Preview: Glenavon (h)

Ards vs Glenavon

Admission: FREE

Match sponsor: Sam Barry

This is a quick but difficult opportunity for Ards to get back on track after a couple of disappointing performances. Gary Hamilton's side are in a good run of form, unbeaten in the last eight games, which includes beating Newry City in the final of the Mid Ulster Cup last week. Their squad will be along the usual lines, with the exception of Mark Sykes who will miss the game due to suspension, having been sent off at Coleraine last Saturday.

Ards fans will hope that David Elebert is fit after missing Saturday's defeat against Carrick Rangers, while Kyle Cherry will be available having served his automatic one game suspension following his two yellow cards against Loughgall. However the main problem is up front, where the recognised strikers Keke and McLellan are between them only averaging a goal every five games this season and loan signing Cameron Stewart has yet to get off the mark.

It has been agreed that admission to this game is free, as the original game which was played on January 2nd was abandoned early in the second half due to the risks posed by Storm Eleanor. Fans are reminded that there will be a bucket collection to help with the cost of staging the game, pitch hire etc.

This collection is entirely voluntary but all contributions will be gratefully accepted.
