So far this summer we have made five brand new signings with Callum Dougan, Max Greer, Matt Gorman, Connor Maxwell and Max Miller joining the club. A sixth - Aidan Steele - has joined the club on a permanent basis following a successful loan spell from Crusaders last season.

Our First Team Manager Matthew Tipton has given his thoughts on the five new signings.

He said, "We are hunting for hungry players who want to improve. We feel that the signings so far fit this bill and we will continue to look for more to strengthen our squad."

Callum Dougan "Anyone that scores plenty of goals at any level will always draw attention and that’s certainly something Callum has done. "David Miskelly did a lot of the early work on this deal, going to watch matches on wet Tuesday and Thursday nights. He was adamant that Callum was special. I obviously watched him myself a couple of times and was really impressed not only with his goals but his all-round play that I feel will fit right into our style of play." Max Greer

"Max is a player that has come up against us numerous times over the past 18 months whilst he’s been at Knockbreda on loan from Larne. He has always impressed us. "We had him watched against other teams by our scouts and every report was positive. I spoke to Tiernan Lynch at Larne and again every word was positive about Max, so when he became available, we pounced straight away and I'm delighted to get him in." Matt Gorman "Matt is a left sided centre half and is coming to us from Newington where he has had several successful seasons. Being naturally left sided is a massive plus for us and we feel he’s going to fit into our style of play easily. "Matt is of a good age where he’s had experience but is still young enough to kick on and improve with us." Connor Maxwell "Connor is a left back that I’ve been watching for a number of years now. Funnily enough, I've been watching him since he was with Ards as a youth team player where he won Player of the Year which got him a move to Linfield. "This year his game has really kicked on and our scout Anthony Robinson has been raving about Conor whilst he has been playing for Crewe United. 18 goals from left back is no mean feat either so I’m sure he’s going to be a big hit with our fans." Max Miller "Max is a flying forward player from Rosario. Max actually came to our attention this time last year but after speaking with his coaches they felt another year playing consistently would be to his benefit so we kept a quiet eye on his progress. "David Miskelly went out to watch Max and phoned me within minutes to say that he was electric and someone we needed to move on quickly. Thankfully we managed to get the deal done early and I must say a big thank you to Barry Baggley at Rosario for helping to smooth the deal over."
