Newry City vs Ards.
Saturday 17/11/18 @ 3.00 p.m.
Ards travel to Newry knowing that defeat will allow their opponents to climb above them in the table, leaving the Red and Blues in the automatic relegation spot.
Newry haven't had a win in their last ten games in all competitions, indeed their last success was on September 18th when they defeated Rathfriland Rovers in the Mid-Ulster Cup, 3-2 after extra time. Against that, all eight points won in the League have come at home so they will be hopeful of gaining revenge for the 4-0 drubbing at the Bangor Fuels Arena back in August. They did perform well against Cliftonville in Monday night's live game on Sky before losing 3-1.
Like Ards, Newry have been struggling to score in the League and so far have only nine to their credit after 15 games so a high-scoring game is unlikely, however I'm sure fans on both sides would settle for a 1-0 win.
The Ards side gave a good account of themselves in the League Cup tie against Ballymena on Tuesday before going down to what seems like the customary late goal. The same level of commitment with a little bit of the luck that seems to have deserted them so far could earn them those much needed three points. Dave Elebert is likely to return to the squad which will be on the usual lines now that the injuries are starting to clear up.
Fans wishing to travel are encouraged to use the PASC bus, which leaves the Social Club/Gibson's Lane area at 1.15 p.m.
