Strain and Boyd Sign Up

On the last day of the transfer window Ards have clinched deals to take Ryan Strain on loan from Linfield until January and re-signed Aaron Boyd who last played for the club in the 2015/16 season.

Strain made his first team debut two years ago when he was still six months short of his 17th birthday and is highly thought of at Linfield. He has played for Northern Ireland at Under 18 and Under 19 level and won the Steel and Sons Cup with Linfield Swifts in 2016. He is contracted to Linfield until the end of the 2019/20 season.

Aaron Boyd is 27 and can count Ballymena, Coleraine, Glentoran and Lisburn Distillery among his previous clubs. He played for Ards during our Championship winning season in 2015/16 and since then has spent time in Australia.
