Ards FC played their first league games of the 2022/23 season in the IFA Disability League at Valley Leisure Centre earlier today. After a successful first season in Disability Football, with Ards finishing second in the Championship, today was another first for the club as two Ards teams competed in the competition.
Following a grading day in October, Ards A team were again placed in a very competitive Championship division, but played well to win three and draw one of their five matches today. All of their games were closely contested with goalkeeper and captain Bailey Pyper making some impressive saves. Top scorer for our A team was Samantha with three goals. Curtis scored Ards other goal.

Our newly formed B team have been placed in League 2 and made a strong start in league football winning three of their five games. Goalkeeping duties alternated between Gary and Hugh. Top scorer for the B team was Britney with six goals. Captain Chris scored five goals, Laura scored three goals and Bobby scored two.
