Match Day 16. Ards vs Ballinamallard.

Ards vs Ballinamallard.

Bluefin Sport Championship.

Bangor Fuels Arena.

Saturday November 9th at 3.00 p.m.

A crucial game for Warren Feeney and his team as they take on a Ballinamallard side that is currently sitting in third place in the table, only two points behind the joint leaders and nine points ahead of the Red and Blues. Ballinamallard are on a great run, with seven wins out of the last eight league games, their only defeat in that excellent run coming at the hands of Ballyclare Comrades. Ards did of course earn a draw at the reverse fixture back in August but the Ducks seem to have improved since then and since losing their opening two fixtures they have in the last thirteen games scored 30 goals and conceded only 10. They have a positive goal difference of 18 while Ards are -1. Ryan Campbell is the main threat and leading goalscorer with nine so far this season.

Warren Feeney will be without Craig McMillen who collected his 10th yellow card in last week's defeat at the Dub and consequently he misses out the next two games. Otherwise the squad will be along the usual lines. Ards will need to get something out of this game or even the most optimistic fan will be giving up on any thoughts of involvement in the promotion battle.
